Welsh winger signs on with the Raiders for another season.

Winger Dai Evans has re-signed with the Raiders for 2020.

Dai Evans who has been involved with the Welsh first team in the World Cup qualifiers back in 2016 has also had a stint with South Wales Scorpions in 2016, crossing for six tries in 11 matches.

As well as his successful career in rugby league, Evans has played for numerous rugby union clubs across South Wales including Ospreys' academy and most recently premiership side Bedwas.

Last season Dai made 6 appearances for the West Wales Raiders before having a serious injury which ended his season.

He has decided to re-sign for the Raiders for the 2020 season and had this to say “I’m really excited about the season ahead. Not being able to finish off last season through injury was frustrating, but now after a full, tough and intense pre-season I really can’t wait to get going. I’m looking forward to working with Aaron & playing a tough and fast game this year. The squad is shaping nicely now and hopefully this year is the best season yet for the Raiders. It’s great to see old friends coming back to league plus some new faces also. It’s a really good energy around the club. I’m really enjoying my rugby here and I will continue to give my all for the badge.

Head coach Aaron Wood added “ It’s great to have Dai back for another season, he has been training like a man that has something to prove and I’m looking forward to seeing him have a big year, he is not only a try scoring winger but is a strong carrier of the ball who can give us great yardage also.”
