WELSH INTERNATIONAL REECE SIGNS WITH RAIDER FOR 2019 SEASON

West Wales Raiders add welsh international Lewis Reece to their squad for the upcoming 2019 season.

Reece is a Welsh professional rugby league player who most recently played for Whitehaven in the Betfred League 1. Before joining Whitehaven, he played for the South Wales Scorpions & Gloucestershire All Golds both in league 1. Between both clubs he played 107 times and scored 258 points in 8 years.

In 2014, Lewis was called up to the Wales national team, he kicked 5 of his conversions in the three games against Scotland, France and Ireland.

The following year, Lewis was once again called up by Welsh national team to play in the 2015 European Cup. He appeared in all 3 of the Welsh games which included scoring a try in the final game against Ireland.

Raiders Head Coach Kim Williams added “The signing of Lewis is a big statement from our club that we are serious about improving our position in the League 1 competition. Lewis ticks a lot of boxes for us – he is a Welsh local who has played for the Welsh International team as well as Great Britain Under 18’s and Wales Under 18’s. He will add a lot of experience to our squad as he has also had stints with Whitehaven, the South Wales Ironmen and the South Wales Scorpions. We are extremely happy to have a player of his standing on board for season 2019.
