Raiders Release Chase

After numerous posts on the future of Rangi Chase the club wanted to officially announce the status on his position with the Raiders. Rangi asked to be released due to family reasons with the distance from his children becoming an ongoing issue for his mental health.

As a club we have supported his request as we understand that family takes priority & regardless of any post’s that have been written in regards to any financial issues the Raiders have allowed Rangi to move on to another club.

There are minor details in the transfer in which the club will look to resolve but both parties have moved on and a big recruitment drive has begun at the Raiders to continue to push with the plans set out at the club at the beginning of the year.

Head Coach Aaaron Wood commented on the release

“It’s an unfortunate decision for the release of Rangi, but it’s a decision that’s been made based on his family. We will miss his presence but have already begun to look at the future. We want to wish him all the best with his next step.”

Lastly the club would like to thank the numerous sponsors and partners that continuously looked after Rangi whilst at the club and shows the fantastic togetherness here at the Raiders.

Keep an eye across all of our platforms for these announcements plus players returning to the squad for this weekend’s home fixture.
