Fifth member on our new segment of “MEET THE BOARD” is Non-Executive Director Angela Windsor.
Angela joined the West Wales Raiders in 2020 after long discussions on join the board and what would be expected of her from her new position.
We caught up with Angela on her new position, her other business and how excited she is to be working everyone at the club after lockdown.
“I had seen various posts on social media via mutual friends regarding the West Wales Raiders and the clubs successes in running so many popular events. When Andrew Thorne (a business associate) was at my print inc store I noticed that he was wearing a Raiders jacket and our discussion ended with him asking if I would be interested in joining the board. I did take some time to think if it was the correct position for myself but having seen the business plan created by the board I thought it was a really exciting time to be involved.
Having been in businesses for 10 years with y company Print Inc, I look to bring the skills that I have learnt along the way to help to develop the clubs reach and success. I am also involved within various business networking events and would look to use opportunities to promote and support the club where possible in these platforms.
I’m looking forward to being a part of the clubs plans and meeting everyone after lockdown. We all want the club to continue to grow with various new projects on the horizon that can take the Raiders on to the next level. During lockdown I feel the Raiders have been very busy in trying to continue as close to normal as possible and that shows the fantastic work ethic the club has.”
