The 3 Raiders Ambassadors, who are they and what are their thoughts on being an ambassador.

After Emma Jenkins becoming Miss Universe GB, Carwyn Glyn continuing to grow both on the TV and on the big screen & Angelo Dragone announcing his next fight being for the Welsh title, we thought we would release a little more information on our three ambassadors.

Carwyn Glyn was the Raiders first ever ambassador, he is a well-known welsh actor who was born in Carmarthenshire. Carwyn Glyn is an actor, known for his performances in Under Milk Wood, Svengali and The Library Suicides on the big screen. On S4C he has been on a few of their top programmes with his most recent role being DJ on Pobl Y Cwm.

Carwyn added ““It’s been fantastic to see how the club/team has evolved and developed since they began only a short time ago. It’s a testament to to all involved for their hard work. The players, management, backroom staff, and sponsors alike  deserve all the credit for their contribution to the Raiders along with their continued support to myself and my career, to which I’m most greatful.”

Our second ambassador to join was Emma Victoria Jenkins, Emma became Miss Wales back in 2015 and has grown ever since. She has done numerous work on S4C and does occasional social media interviewing. Emma who is from Llanelli became Miss Universe GB on Saturday evening.

Emma commented on being involved with the Raiders as an ambassador “It’s so fantastic to support a rugby league team, especially one on my doorstep! The players are so passionate about the sport, it is a real privilege to watch them progress. They deserve every success coming their way because they work so hard. The continued support they have shown me is second to none and I will always be there to support them when I can also”

Our final ambassador is a welsh professional boxer who has grown very quickly recently. Angelo Dragone is a 29-year-old professional boxer who comes from Carmarthen, since becoming professional; he has won all five of his fights and the most recent one at Merthyr. Angelo announced last week that he will be taking on Kristian Touze for the welsh title in September, this wll be shown on S4C.

Angelo spoke about being a Raiders ambassador “I’m very pleased to be asked to be ambassador and part of west wales raiders who I’ve worked with over last few months , great to link up with guys with similar quality’s as myself ambition , drive and hunger , I’m very greatful for their backing and looking forward to future.”

Come on down to Stebonheath Park to view the Raiders remaining fixtures as you may see the ambassador there showing their support also. The Raiders next fixture is this Saturday at home to Coventry Bears.
