A PARTNERSHIP FORMED ON SHARED VALUES AND A VISION FOR THE FUTURE

The West Wales Raiders Rugby League Club and Llamau are honoured to announce the formation of a partnership between the two organisations. Llamau is a charity based in Cardiff with a mission of eradicating homelessness for young people and women in Wales. The West Wales Raidersare the most established Rugby League club in West Wales, formed in January 2015. They are the only professional rugby league club in South Wales, based at Stebonheath Park in Llanelli.

Kim Williams, Head Coach at The West Wales Raiders Rugby League Club explains “We are honoured to announce the formation of a partnership between the two organisations.  We know that Llamau is a values-led organisation who offer the highest quality support and empathy to the people it helps. The values of Llamau – We Respect, We Listen, We Encourage, We Learn and We don’t Give up - are shared by the West Wales Rugby League Club and it was an easy decision for the two organisations to join forces in an ongoing partnership.  The same values that apply to the outstanding work that Llamau does are the very same values that provide the driving force behind the Raiders’ efforts on the sporting field”.

CEO of the West Wales Raiders, Peter Tiffin, finalised the partnership with Barbara Redmore from Llamau earlier this week, stating “the West Wales Raiders are happy to form this new partnership with Llamau. We hope to not only raise the profile of Llamau through our sporting and community networks but we will also help them raise funds with various events throughout the year.

The Raiders will be commencing fund-raising for Llamau this weekend at their home game vs Whitehaven in the RFL League 1 competition. Kick-off is at 11.00am on Sunday at Stebonheath Park. Any donations can also be made to Llamau via their website www.llamau.org.uk
